Brewster, Cape Cod: Fishing Heaven

One of my favorite hobbies is fishing the Brewster Flats. Spreading from Paines Creek Beach to Crosby Landing beach, it is full of striped bass and bluefish that will make your fishing excursion quite a workout. My family was visiting from Quebec City this week and we went out of Sesuit Harbor on Captain Jon Hyde's boat, featured in the Cape Cod Life magazine this month. His knowledge of all the fish hiding spots filled our trip with excitement- especially when I took this huge 42-inch, 25-pound striper into the boat. My biggest catch ever!
